Opencart How to Upload Module Zip Without Ftp
Unable to upload zip files to Opencart extensions
I accept just purchased an extension (Open Content Box), just I can't install it because OpenCart ii.0.ii.0 won't allow me to upload the ZIP-file.
I'1000 currently running in Firefox 36.0.4, only Safari and Chrome also says: Invalid file blazon.
Here'southward an former diskussion from 2013 over the same result: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=106862 (OC version unknown).

Re: Unable to upload cypher files to Opencart extensions
did you lot check your Admin Mime Blazon Settings, if Upload is immune?

[FTP] Enable FTP = Yeah
[Server] Allowed File Extensions: zip, txt, png, jpe, jpeg ...
Upload allowed = Enable FTP?
Edit: Plant this complimentary module: "QuickFix: Extensions Installer issue when FTP support disabled".
Edit-edit: Doesn't work. I however get "Invalid file type!" ... and yes: I followed the instructions for installing this patch.
Edit-edit-edit: The developer of QuickFix wrote 03/04/2015: "The job is assigned to our system and we volition publish the updated next version during the next calendar week".

Re: Unable to upload nil files to Opencart extensions
Try renaming your file to.....
extentionname.ocmod.zip instead of simply extentioname.nothing

The progress bar stops at ca. sixty% and the error message says: "Directory containing files to be uploaded could not be found!".

Re: Unable to upload null files to Opencart extensions
In this case information technology seems that the extension you are trying to install want meant to be installed via the backend.
Did y'all check the readme file and followed included instructions.
Virtually extensions will require you to use the expert old FTP method.

Most extensions will require you to use the good old FTP method.
The readme tells me to upload the admin+catalog folders, which I did. Next stride is to install under "Modules", which I did, merely clicking on the Edit button just shows a blank (white) folio in the browser.

Re: Unable to upload nada files to Opencart extensions
I would double check compatibility between the extension and the OC ver you lot running.
But what you did should have worked.

Incorrect, the adjacent footstep would be, to brand it Accessable/Editable under Admin, by
selecting/clicking all those trivial square option 'knobs', or at least those, related to this mod, to ACTIVE/Enabled, in the:
Code: Select all
system - user - usergroups - Elevation Administrator
Department of your Admin Section.
THEN: Next step is to install under "Modules"...
Good Luck
